For nearly a decade, the Museo Carlo Zauli works to promote and consolidate the location and the role of young artists in our area. As an instrument designed for this purpose was born on a format!, Or a proposed exhibition that represents the first public display of a young talented artist of our territory. Inspired by this experience MCZ took the will and energy of two young entrepreneurs in a new project that links the museum, arts organizations and colleges to develop the visibility of young artists and a new collecting area.

Since December 2010, the showroom of Ravenna, Faenza Curtains, becoming an ideal gym and real opportunities for young artists, will host an intimate corner and be discovered, dedicated to a young artist, chosen by the teachers themselves among the best students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna and ISIA Faenza. In this small but autonomous space he is called to re-create his own universe through an installation of works and objects. Other areas of the showroom is set up, demonstrating a mutual desire of contamination between the entrepreneur and the artist, all accompanied by the presence of a work by Carlo Zauli, selected from the historical collection of the master, which acts as an ideal witness between art historical and institutional land and younger generations.

first stage of this innovative project will be the exhibition of Monaco Marisa, a young artist selected in the Accademia di Belle Arti di Ravenna. In 2006 the project was born of a series of lectures at the Museo Carlo Zauli entitled "Monday of Contemporary Art, designed by Matteo Zauli its firm desire to tie the identity of our territory the world, the atmosphere, the content of art contemporanea. Partendo dalla considerazione che l’arte sia uno strumento per interpretare l'individualità e il sistema sociale nel quale viviamo, il progetto vuole offrire una chiave di lettura per interpretare e comprendere alcuni dei più significativi movimenti artistici del nostro tempo. Nell’arco degli incontri passati si sono affrontate tematiche relative all’arte contemporanea, passando da interventi di taglio storico a quelli con implicazioni economico-sociali. Nella passate edizioni sono stati nostri ospiti artisti come Alberto Garutti e Luigi Ontani, galleristi come Massimo Minini e curatori come Silvia Evangelisti, docenti come Piergluigi Sacco e Fabriano Fabbri, oltre a giovani talenti e a imprenditori del territorio.

Il titolo degli appuntamenti 2010, Avventure nello spazio dell'arte, si riferisce chiaramente a come la rassegna rappresenti un viaggio tra alcuni luoghi e progetti gestiti con molta originalità, in modo autonomo e spesso periferico, dunque con estrema esiguità di risorse e prospettive dimostrando, come scrivono Frosi e Perrone "quanto sia tutt'ora ambiguo e pericoloso dedicarsi alla cultura in Italia". Tutti i relatori invitati saranno artisti protagonisti di esperienze a volte parallele al proprio percorso più caratteristico, che in tal modo sveleranno un diverso aspetto della propria ricerca. La rassegna rientra fra gli eventi C/off del festival dell’arte Contemporanea, che da quest'anno si estendono the three-day festival to an annual program linked to all the best creative energies of the city. The next appointment is with the young artists T-Yong Chung, Chiara Pergola, in conversation with Daniele Veronesi Matteo Zauli. Guests of the 2010 season of workshops at the museum, will talk about their experience meeting with ceramics and with students who have supported them in Faenza in the production of parts, which for that evening will be exhibited in the Museo Zauli. It completes the cycle with Lorenza Boise, Gaia Carboni and Dacia Manto. The three artists will explain to the public what is an autonomous space for artists, talking about MARS - Milan Artist Run Space, from the standpoint of policy design, Boise, and two artists of our territory, Carboni and Manto, who took part in the project, and still worked together.
