Huge Stomach And Huge Hips
21.6.07: Rettili tutelati alla Foce del Neto
Among the reptile species protected under the EU Directive Habitats, visible Mouth of Neto to suffer from the early days of March, there is turtles Emys orbicularis . Especially frequent in the permanent pond in loc. Misol and the mouths of streams and Vergaro Tales. The photo above was taken in March 2007 loc. Misol (pictured digiscoping: binoculars Opticron ES80 ED + + SDL Eyepiece Camera Samsung i6).
Habits: usually found in standing water or slow current, rich in submerged vegetation and hanging from the banks. It also meets in ditches, swamps and brackish waters. It may be noted while standing on rocks or logs on the bank and temperature controllers. Sometimes it stays on the water and are visible only the neck and head. Rather timid when it plunges external influences.

Difference Between Jello And Jigglers
21.3.07: Fioriscono le orchidee
First day spring according to our schedule, but the mouth of Neto the flowering season began long ago. Today, a few meters from the mouth, there were about thirty species of orchid Ophrys bombyliflora , along with many more Ophrys sphegodes (already known for that and we shall deal in the near intervention). The name of this little wild orchids refers morphological affinity lip (the colored part of the flower) with the genus Bombylius , whose males are attracted to this particular structure, mistaking it for the female of the species, and I believe accoppiarvisi settle and contribute instead of pollination plant.

.
Name: Ophrys bombyliflora Link
Flowering: March-April.
Habitat: scrubland, dry meadows on limestone and chalk, clay pasture, in the Mediterranean region.
In Calabria it is relatively common throughout the ion beam.
Condition: minor risk.
